The finals of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) season for this year have been scheduled for November 25; the event will be the promotion’s first pay-per-view offering.

After the end of the 2022 regular season and a playoff run that includes first-time trips over the pond to Wales and England, the PFL will return to New York City for a packed finals program at the famous Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater.

The announcement was confirmed in a press statement on Wednesday, with PFL CEO Peter Murray confirming that the main card would be broadcast on ESPN+ PPV.

Murray said, “I am thrilled to announce that the 2022 PFL World Championship will be held on Friday, November 25 on ESPN+ PPV in primetime live from New York City’s Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.” This unique Christmas pay-per-view event will include star talent and championship drama, as the PFL will provide six world title bouts with six belts and $6 million at stake.

With the exception of a few remaining matches, the card was also confirmed. Kayla Harrison will try to win her third straight women’s lightweight PFL title when she headlines the promotion’s finals card for the third consecutive year.

Harrison defeated Larissa Pacheco to win $1 million in the 2019 PFL 10 main event. Pacheco will stand in Harrison’s path as she attempts to make more history inside the SmartCage.

The co-main event on November 25 will be contested by featherweights. Following a home semi-final triumph last month, Brendan Loughnane will attempt to thwart Bubba Jenkins’s chances of winning the championship.

Elsewhere on the eight-fight PPV portion of the evening, Ante Delija and Matheus Scheffel will collide with heavyweight gold on the line, Scotland’s Stevie Ray will face Olivier Aubin-Mercier for lightweight glory, Sadibou Sy will face Dilano Taylor for all the welterweight marbles, and Robert Wilkinson will face Omari Akhmedov for the light heavyweight title.

In addition, former UFC contenders Shane Burgos and Marlon Moraes will make their PFL debuts against one another in one of two planned PPV highlight matches.

Stephens & Ditcheva Feature, Biaggio Ali Walsh Debuts in the PFL
Prior to a loaded PPV card, a number of renowned fighters will compete in a series of preliminary fights. This features former UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens, who went 1-1 during the regular season after bouncing back from an epic battle with Clay Collard by defeating Myles Price.

In the penultimate battle before the show goes to pay-per-view, Stephens will share the SmartCage with Natan Schulte of Brazil. Schulte split his two regular season bouts, winning Marcin Held and losing to Aubin-Mercte.

Former British Muay Thai champion Dakota Ditcheva will make her second appearance under the PFL banner in another exhibition match. Last month, “Dangerous” Ditcheva earned a TKO victory in 58 seconds at PFL 9 in London, after a perfect 5-0 start to her professional MMA career.

Biaggio Ali Walsh, grandson of famed boxer Muhammad Ali, will also make his maiden PFL appearance on the undercard. In an amateur competition, he will compete against Tom Graesser.
