Conor McGregor, a celebrity of the UFC, is reportedly interested in acting and thinks he separates apart from other mixed martial artists (MMA) who are also in the industry.

After being hurt badly in the third installment of his trilogy versus Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, McGregor had to get surgery to repair his leg. As he continues to tease fans with video of his development, it is unclear when he will return to the UFC.

With Jake Gyllenhaal at the helm, the 1989 cult classic Road House is getting a revival, and Ewan McGregor will make his Hollywood debut in it. The movie, the release date of which has not been revealed, will star him prominently.

McGregor believes that some of his fellow UFC stars are trying to emulate his success outside of the Octagon by following his lead in the film industry and other fields.

McGregor directed a recent tweet at Michael Bisping and those who want to work in Hollywood.

In 2015, during his meteoric ascension to the UFC featherweight belt, McGregor started to get offers from Hollywood. In 2016, he became the first fighter in UFC history to win titles at two different weight classes after defeating José Aldo at UFC 194.

McGregor isn’t the only UFC fighter, past or present, who have found success in Hollywood. Kamaru Usman, a former UFC welterweight champion, will make an appearance in the forthcoming “Black Panther” superhero sequel.

When McGregor finally chooses to retire from mixed martial arts, he won’t be short of job offers. For the time being, he has no plans to stop poking at other boxers who try to imitate his success.
